The young girl who waited on us had a fabulous amount of Sass, she was so likable and helpful, always checking in to make sure we were happy. "We were a large party with children and pre-booked via email with Kathleen. Fantastic communication and a friendly welcome when we arrived at this lovely pub. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in getting us everything that we needed. They were great with the children and the food was delicious. Over the years of travelling backwards and forwards from Skipton to my parents house in Bridlington I have been disappointed to see that this pub had been closed down so it was nice to see it reopening again and had been on my list of places to stop at. It was nice to tick this off and even better to say that it was a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!"

"Wow! Me, my parents and my fiancee stayed here when we were meeting our wedding photographer in Pocklington. The dinner was delicious and I was really impressed by the quality of the veggie options. Dessert was wonderful as was the breakfast the morning after. The rooms were lovely with an amazingly comfy bed and pillows (and I am so fussy about pillows!) Sometimes it can be nerve wracking checking into a hotel and having dinner out as a queer couple but all the staff were so welcoming. I'd happily stay here again!"
